September is the transitional month for fall. This means you’re already pulling out some of your warmer fits. Yet, this summer fall transition has drastically changing temperatures. How will you master cold mornings and warm middays?
I like to think this is the perfect time for the summer fall hybrid outfits. These are the fits that look like summer outfits but have some fall readiness.
In this post I have on a very summer look. Short sleeve oxford, harem shorts and sandals. It doesn’t look very fall but for these really cool mornings, I chose a slightly thicker fabric for shorts and adding cotton-wool blend socks.
I wasn’t sure if hybrid summer fall was a legit term but its googlable. You can find examples of people adding one layer to the everyday summer outfit. Or you can simply add something that is very winter-like to a summer look, such as adding tall boots to a tank and fitted jeans look. Or, try a light scarf to a long sleeve t-shirt and belted slacks look.
This is the season where we start to see people include beanies, biker vests and jackets, or mock necks with no jacket into their daily ensembles.
“Remember the summer to fall is the season of fashion freedom.” You can do almost anything in this season fashion wise and not really have to worry about being too hot or too cold. You can freely mix winter and summer pieces. However, i will never understand flip flops and jackets or flip flops, shorts and pullovers. (eye roll)
Another combination that’s going to look really nice, is hem-less or slim tapered distressed hem jeans and jackets with boots or high top sneakers.
