As much I don’t like the city I finished high school in, that’s where I found a house like me.
This house near downtown Rocky Mount, NC had a city order to repair the property. I didn’t read through all of the document and am not familiar with how those things work, having a order from the city. I’m guessing its either repair it, be sued or forfeit the property. I don’t know. More importantly to me is that I really like its building style and from what I could see from the window the inside has a lot of potential.
That’s what resonated most to me about this house; from the window, it looks so full of potential but you can also tell it needs some work. It needs some love from the current owners. Like the house, I need some work.
This years posts have been coming a little slow secondly because my drive is a little low to be honest. Firstly, my perspective has been under adjustment or repair concerning this fashion thing. Not just on fashion but just in how am driving this vehicle to influence introspection.
I believe every motivational speaker or hope dealer would tell you there is periodic places in their journey where a wilderness is necessary. Solitude is the place to build and life requires it in order to deal out genuine inspiration.
For me, in this space, that means a lot of assessment and inner work. Pretty presentations via the fashion ensembles I present here are cool but they don’t tell you as much as the conversations I wish we could have. They speak even less to the conversations I have with me on my daily commutes to work.
Never the less what I’d like for you to get from this post is the understanding that the content here will include more talk about perspective.
ÇoulStyle from birth is really about understanding the why in choices people make when it comes to their style. To keep this post as concise as necessary, that means bringing a mirror to the conversation on perspective. It means determining how much of my decisions (and your decisions) have been or is emotional or experience influenced or information out side of emotion and experience influenced? Do I have a personal preference value for one vs the other?
I don’t want this post to get too long in explanation of a concept. However I do encourage you to think about why you like what you like. Have you ever challenged your own thinking? Have you ever found errors behind things you’ve dressed up or have seen dressed up as professional, prepared, polished, policy or preference?
Being a novice in the fashion world as a blogger, I find this keeps coming up. Mainly becomes much of our pursuit favors good aesthetic. Appearance is key. With that noted, there are a lot of dry walls put up over smashed stained glass in order to reflect modernism or moving with the times. Lots of repair is needed. In this season, i’m just trying to do the work when it comes to my perspective.
I’m challenging my religious and spiritual perspective. I’m reviewing my echo chambers. I’m pushing my drive to collaborate with more people to bring better quality and more frequent content. You can look forward to invites to ÇoulStyle events.
My desire, my purpose for ÇoulStyle.com is that it becomes a resource for a healthy look at who we are and who we project to be. The goal is not so much that they be the same thing as it is for them to be the same honest thing.
Where do you stand when it comes to the importance of perspective? How do you manage your perspective on the world? How do you manage the perspectives in your world?
