Noticed any new art in downtown Raleigh lately? While not responsible for all of it, I know just who to blame for some the displays livening up the downtown scene.
This week I caught, Raleigh painter, Griffin Foster re-faceing the parklet at the corner of Hargett St. and Salisbury St. Decorating the small city feature in one of my favorite art styles, graffiti.
I’m pretty sure I surprised Foster when I asked to feature him. I was just so excited to finally catch one of the artists while working. It’s always a wonder how all those paintings and art sculptures seem to appear almost overnight around the city.
Fortunately for your interest here are a few other places around Raleigh, NC that you can find Foster’s work.
- Cafe De Los Muertos, 300 W Hargett St.
- Vita Vite, 313 W Haret St
- HQ Raleigh 310 S. Harrington St (in the back alley)
