La Stella experience

Food Review: The La Stella Pizzaria Experience

I love pizza. Many do, seeing that is normally a large meal for a decent price and most likely you’ll have a little left over for lunch the next day. Every now and again, you may choose to be adventurous by trying a different topping or a different different crust. Well, La Stella Pizza is a slightly different experience.

To be fair this review is an abridged version. I chose to dine outside, but there is a large, beautiful and upscaled pizzeria experience to be had by eating inside.

I’ve had artisan pizza before but to find a great blend of flavors that can become a classic rivaling pepperoni and cheese is always the adventure. That’s why I stopped in. I saw pizza. I saw different a decor setup, so I said, hey let’s see whats different on the menu.

I order the Arcadian pizza. It’s a collaboration of Fontina, apple cider chicken, garlic preserves, peppadew peppers, orange, and a leaf mix made of red lettuce, arugula, and spinach.

While super strong flavors are not high on my pleasure point scale this was a great blend of flavors that worked so well to make one flavor when you eat it. I like that To be fair and honest, the after taste can be described as a cheesy garlic bread with notes of berry. The garlic confit at times really stood out when I ate a large piece. on that same note, when I chewed on one of the balsamic seeds, it gave a pleasantly sweet surprise to the flavor mix. Altogether it is so good.

My favorite part of my dining experience, was the Brussels sprouts. They didn’t look so appetizing but OH how they were so so so so so good.

These Fire-Roasted Brussels sprouts had the best texture that was soft and juicy but was roasted with just enough crisp. All topped of with pepper romano, rosemary honey, and bourbon mustard.

Man! These were so so good. You must try the Fire Roasted Brussel’s sprouts.

Overall, this place is a great stop for lunch and dinner when you are looking for something other the average pizza pie. The inside beautifully designed and decorated with possible family seating and a bar. I am going to make second visit for some dessert.

The vibe was relaxed but certainly not like the teenage pizza joint. This is spot where you’d normally have a libation with your pizza. I’d call it, something for the thirty somethings. Modern, relaxed and very good.
