BOOTS IN THE SUMMER

So who says you can’t wear boots in the summer? Your parents and their parents your over masculine friends who have no style and so on I’m sure. Dont listen to them…The only real rule is, if you like it and you will be comfortable and can execute it well, then wear it. Trust me I had my own precautions about being really hot wearing my favorite boots but when I put the outfit together I was like -shrug- Imma do it. So I did. If you live in the carolinas or anywhere in the south of the US, then you know the heat has been the killer but don’t be afraid to adorn your favorite shoes or boots in the summer.  Three simple things to keep in mind while wearing boots in the summer;

1. Wear socks. Remember socks help your skin breath as opposed to be pressed against that leather or silk in-lay of your shoes. Theres not much as uncomfortable as sweaty feet with shoes on so keep the dry and airy with no show socks.

2. Do less or Dont layer. Since boots cover more of your lower legs pair them with knee length or slightly higher (for a prep look) or slightly lower (for a more grove street) look. A loose fitting or sleeveless shirt would also be great to keep the air around on more skin to stay a little cooler.

3. Lace and tie loosely. I normally like boots laced loose, that just the look I like but as for staying cool, obviously the looser the shoe the more air can get in there.
